CRISPR/cas9 genome editing is used to delete sequences incorporating the noncoding GC box sequence (GGGCGG). The GC box sequences possess enhancer activity. mRNA expression is reduced in mast cells, basophils, brain cells, and stomach cells. (J:341581)
