A BAC from a cadmium-sensitive 129/SvJ library carrying only the mouse Slc39a8 gene was used for pronuclear injection. Lines 3, 5 and 6 were generated, with line 3 studied further. Line 3 mice have an integrated transgene locus containing 3 1 copies of the transgene. (J:125886)
