The targeting construct inserted upstream of exon 1 a loxP site and downstream of exon 2 an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site. Flp-mediated recombination removed the section cassette and leave exons 2 and 3 floxed. (J:326793)
