Tg(NKX2-5*-lacZ)#Kyuhl

A mutated version of the chicken second heart field (SHF) NK2 homeobox 5 enhancer (cardiac activating region 3 (CAR3); nucleotides 976-3047 after transcriptional start site), where the Nkx2-5-binding consensus sequence in the BMP response element (BMPRE) was mutated from TCTGAGTG to TCTGCGAG, was used to drive the expression of a reporter gene cassette containing the hsp68 promoter, lacZ beta-galactosidase gene and poly(A) signal sequences by placing it downstream of the cassette. The transgene also contains a 5' HS4 insulator sequence from the chicken beta-globin locus. Founder information and line numbers were not available.
