The targeting construct inserted upstream of exon 3 an FRT site, lacZ reporter gene, loxP site, neo cassette, FRT site, and loxP site. Another loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. Flp-mediated recombination removed the reporter/selection cassette. (J:294360)
