The transgene insert consists of a segment of mouse BAC RP23-247I11 that contains the 3' half of the immunoglobulin lambda locus (from upstream of the Iglv1 promoter to 3 kb downstream of DNAse 1 hypersensitive site HS4, which is located ~40 kb downstream of the Iglj1/Iglc1 cluster). Sequence (39 bp) coding for a cMyc tag was inserted into an XhoI restriction site in the Iglc1 cluster. Further, DNAse 1 hypersensitive site HS2 was deleted (164 bp). (J:320616)
