The allele is created using a BAC clone containing exon 4 genomic sequence of the gene. The targeting construct was inserted into intron 3 and includes a loxP site followed by an FRT-flanked neomycin/kanamycin selection cassette and a second loxP site located downstream of exon 4. FLP-mediated recombination removed the neo/kan cassette. (J:324682)
