The targetted vector inserted a neomycin selection cassette flanked by two Frt sites, a loxP site into the upstream of exon 2 of the Mvp gene. Another loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. The resulted mice were crossbred with flp-recombinase mice to remove the neomycin cassette. (J:275578)
