A loxP site was introduced approximately 2 kb upstream of the 5' untranslated region and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance gene and second loxP site were inserted downstream of exon 2. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette leaving exons 1 and 2 floxed. (J:320789)
