The targeting vector inserted a loxP site upstream of the coding sequence in the first coding exon and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3 prime loxP site. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed the coding sequence in the first coding sequence. (J:318731)
