The targeting construct inserted upstream of exon 5 an Rox-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 5 prime loxP site and an additional loxP site downstream of exon 6. Dre-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and left exons 5 and 6. (J:316925)
