Exon 2 was flanked by loxP sites and an FRT-flanked neomycin selection cassette was inserted downstream of exon 2 before the second loxP site. Exon 2 and the selection cassette were removed via cre-mediated recombination. Exon 2 deletion results in a downstream frameshift. (J:315603)
