The transgenic construct contains the mouse Alb (albumin) promoter driving expression of the first 118 residues of the human transferrin receptor (TFRC; including the cytoplasmic tail and signal/ancho domain) fused to residues 139-385 of mature chicken ovalbumin cDNA and a polyA tail. The transgene expresses a membrane bound form of ovalbumin o hepatocytes. (J:314920)
