The transgenic construct, incorporates the rat Slc10a2 (ASBT) promoter driving expression of the first 118 residues of the human transferrin receptor (TFRC; including the cytoplasmic tail and signal/ancho domain) fused to residues 139-385 of mature chicken ovalbumin cDNA and a polyA tail. The membrane from of ovalbumin is expressed on biliary epithelium. (J:314919)
