A loxP site and an FRT-flanked neomycin selection cassette were inserted upstream of exon 8 and a second loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 9. The selection cassette was removed via Flp-mediated recombination and exons 8 and 9 were deleted via cre-mediated recombination. (J:232551)
