A cre/ERT2 followed by a polyadenylation sequence was inserted into BAC clone RP23-78N21 with the 3' coverage of the Cdh6 locus that contains cis-regulatory modules for the somatosensory at the initiating ATG codon of the first coding exon of the Cdh6 gene. Six out of 7 founder lines showed a similar -gal expression pattern in the somatosensory area. Line 7 was chosen for the studies. (J:205104)
