The targeting construct was generated using this engineered BAC (#RP23-235-E18) to introduce VKARK>AAAAA amino acid changes of (V/I)KARK motif in the third intracellular loop of Gpr161 in exon 4 of the gene and FRT flanked neo selection cassette into the intron following it. Correctly targeted ES cells via homologous recombination were used to establish a mouse with germline transmission and crossed to Flp-O deleted to remove the neo-cassette. (J:310417)
