A loxP-flanked PGK-neo cassette replaced part of exon 2 and exon 3. A stop codon was added in frame into exon 2. The PGK-neo was removed via cre-mediated recombination in the ES cells. Western blot analysis confirmed absence of protein in lung, liver, spleen and brain. (J:310467, J:310468)
