The YFP gene was inserted in-frame before the stop codon in exon 9 and an FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was inserted downstream. The neo cassette was removed through subsequent flp-mediated recombination, leaving a chimeric Krt8/YFP gene. (J:309696)
