A cysteine to alanine mutation at residue 451 (C451A) and a neomycin selection cassette flanked by FRT sites were inserted into the locus. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neomycin cassette. This mutation abolishes palmitoylation and membrane trafficking of the receptor. (J:300483)
