The targeting construct contains from 5' to 3' a loxP site upstream of exon 2 and an FRT-flanked neomycin cassette followed by a second loxP site downstream of exon 2. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exon 2 floxed. (J:199327)
