The targeting mutation inserted a lox511 site upstream of the endogenous exon 11 and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette inserted downstream of exon 11 followed by a floxed and inverted exon 11 with the amino acid substitution of leucine with alanine at position 332 (L332A) and a lox511 site. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette. (J:290809)
