The transgene consists of bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC RP24-181G19) DNA constructs expressing Cre recombinase under the control of the MC3R promoter. Multiple funder lines were created. However, the line numbers were not indicated. The line showing faithful cre activities in ARC, PVT, nucleus accumbens, and ventral tegmental area was used for the studies.
