The targeting construct inserted a floxed neomycin resistance cassette inserted downstream of the C beta2 exon and a loxP site inserted downstream of the E beta enhancer. Cre-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and left the Ebeta enhancer floxed. (J:274549)
