LoxP sites were inserted at a BstEII and a HpaI site about 500 base pairs upstream of and 2,100 base pairs downstream from the exons encoding the first and second immunoglobulin domain, respectively. Additionally, a FRT-flanked PGKneo cassette was inserted and then removed by crossing with Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(FLP1)Dym mice. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed segment. (J:306160)
