A codon-optimized version of FLP recombinase was fused to ERT2 and inserted into the ATG of the endogenous Sp8 locus by ES cell recombination. The neomycin selectable cassette was removed by crossing with cre-deleter. This is a null allele as well as recombinase knock-in. (J:234419)
