A cassette carrying Cre recombinase and EGFP coupled via internal ribosomal entry site (IRES) was introduced into the exon 1 translation start site of the mouse Aldh3A1 in BAC (RP24338F21), and the modified BAC clone was then used for pronuclear injections.
