A loxP site was inserted 141 bp upstream of exon 2 and an FRT site, loxP site, neomycin-resistance gene cassette, FRT site and a third loxP site were inserted 622 bp downstream of exon 2. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette leaving exon 2 floxed. (J:307907)
