Exons 16-19 (the high-mobility group domain) were flanked by loxP sites. An frt-flanked neomycin resistance gene was inserted upstream of exon 16 after the first loxP site. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette leaving exons 16-19 floxed. (J:263340)
