The transgenic construct containing a ~3 kbp genomic DNA fragment of the mouse S100a4 promoter that drives gene expression in fibroblasts driving the mouse codon-optimized Flp (Flpo) site-specific recombinase was injected into oocytes (FVB B6 DBA2 mixed background) to obtain founder mice. Six founder lines (#3, #4, #9, #11, #17, and #35) were generated. The highest and fibroblast specific expression of flpo mRNA was observed in line 3 and used for the study. (J:286617)
