By standard homologous recombination in ES cells, the targeting vector inserted the iCre-IRES-Flag-EGFP-pgk-gb2neo-polyA fragment into the translational initiation site of the Drd2 gene in frame. The RT-PCR showed that Drd2 mRNA was negligible in homozygous mice. It is a null allele. (J:301337)
