This transgene construct contains the following elements: the rat insulin 2 promoter, the mouse eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit 1 alpha cDNA, and mouse H2-Ea poly(A) signal sequences. The Ins2 promoter drives Eif2s1 expression specifically in pancreatic beta cells. Founder 3 has an estimated four copies of the transgene. (J:151620)
