A bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC: RP23-128E5) containing nearly 192.04 kb sequence upstream of the mouse Ghrl start codon and nearly the entire coding sequence of the gene, ending ~1.17 kb upstream of the stop codon was modified by inserting a humanized Renilla reniformis GFP (hrGFP) sequence into the translational start site of the gene removing the first 29bp of the coding sequence. Two lines were made and one line named R4 was used for the studies. (J:210220)
