The following elements were inserted into the locus: the CAG promoter, a loxP site flanked STOP cassette, Diphtheria toxin receptor cDNA, sequence for 2A self-cleaving peptide, and the green fluorescent protein reporter gene. Only after cre-mediated deletion of the STOP cassette will this allele express the DTR and EGFP genes. (J:306087)
