The targeting vector is designed to insert an enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) sequence into the translational start site in exon 1. A loxP-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette was inserted downstream of exon 2. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed neo cassette. (J:151604)
