The mouse was generated via bacterial artificial chromosome transgenesis using the 187kb BAC clone (RP24-327i14) containing the murine Spp1 and Pkd2 genes. Two successive recombinations were performed to insert iCreERT24 in the Spp1 gene and to inactivate the Pkd2 gene. An iCreERT2-polyA-FRTAmpR-FRT fragment was used to insert iCreERT2 in frame and downstream of the initiator ATG of the Spp1 gene. Line numbers were not indicated.
