The targeting vector is designed to insert loxP sites flanking exons 2-3. An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette is inserted inserted 148 bp 5' of exon 2, within the intron between exons 1 and 2. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette. (J:261659)
