A cre/ERT2 fusion gene is used to replace part of exon 1, in frame 22 nucleotides downstream from the start codon. A floxed selection cassette is inserted in exon 1 downstream of cre/ERT2. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed neo cassette. (J:140315)
