A single copy of a transgene consisting of the rat myosin light chain 2V promoter and the complete open reading frame of human TSPYL inserted at intron 1, disrupting transcription of Lrrc7 but not the nearby gene Lrrc40. Western blot analysis detected trace amount of protein in cerebral cortex of homozygous mice. Homozygotes express 2% of wild-type transcripts and heterozygotes express 46% of the normal amount of transcripts. (J:293568)
