The transgenic construct contains 895 bp of sequence (A box) from directly upstream of the mouse Pyy start codon and 681 bp of sequence (B box) from downstream of the mouse Pyy stop codon obtained from bacterial artificial chromosome RP23-218N17. An EGFP-BGH sequence followed by an FRT-flanked neomycin/kanamycin cassette was inserted between the Pyy A and B boxes. The neomycin/kanamycin cassette was removed by arabinose induction of flipase in bacterial cells. (J:297621)
