A 5' loxP site was introduced approximately 0.4 kb 5' of exon 2, followed by the insertion of a FRT-flanked PGK promoter-driven neomycin selection cassette, and a 3' loxP site approximately 0.4 kb 3' of exon 2. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette leaving exon 2 floxed. (J:289229)
