A loxP site was inserted into intron 1 and a second loxP site plus an FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene into intron 2. Exon 2 was deleted through subsequent cre-mediated recombination. Western blot analysis of brain protein confirmed absence of protein expression from this allele. (J:294154)
