The targeting vector is designed to insert a Venus yellow fluorescent protein cDNA into exon 2 and to replace the endogenous STOP codon with a 5aa linker. An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette was placed downstream. Transient flp-mediated recombination removed the floxed neo cassette. (J:296332)
