A loxP site and FRT-flanked neomycin resistance gene were inserted upstream of exon 3 and a F3 site-flanked puromycin resistance gene and second loxP site were inserted downstream of exon 3. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neomycin and puromycin selection markers leaving exon 3 floxed. (J:296268)
