Using BAC clone RP23-192F6, a loxP site was inserted into intron 1 and a FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette and a second loxP site into intron 3. The neo cassette was removed through subsequent flp-mediated recombination, leaving a conditional-ready allele with exons 2 and 3 floxed. (J:294178)
