The EUCOMM vector ETPG00270_Y_5_D06 was used to create a conditional allele with an loxP, FRT, lacZ reporter gene, loxP, neomycin resistance cassette, and FRT site were inserted into exon 1 and an additional loxP site upstream of exon 2. Flp-mediated recombination removed the reporter gene and selection cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed most of exon 1. (J:279114)
