Two loxP sites were inserted into the gene flanking the coding exon 2 by homologous recombination. An FRT-flanked neo selection cassette was also inserted upstream of the loxP site in the 3'untranslated region. FLP-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette in the germline. (J:239575)
