The human C5AR1 gene coding sequence (exon 2) and a loxP-flanked PGK-neomycin gene replaced the mouse gene exon 2 coding sequence. The PGK-neomycin gene was removed via cre-mediated recombination. The human gene is under the control of the endogenous mouse promoter. (J:292028)
