The targeting vector is designed to insert a loxP site upstream of exon 8 and a second loxP site, followed by an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette, downstream of exon 8. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette. (J:322810)
