The targeting vector contains an FRT-flanked neomycin cassette followed by a loxP site inserted upstream of exon 3 and a second loxP site inserted downstream of exon 3. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exon 3 floxed. (J:290119)
